Subnautica 2 All Wrecks: Every Named Salvage POI

Every confirmed wreck and named POI in Subnautica 2, organized shallow to deep, with looting practice and Collector Leviathan warnings for Root Canyon.

Eleven named wrecks and landmark POIs are confirmed in Subnautica 2 right now, stretched across three depth bands from your spawn point down to the guarded deep caves of Root Canyon. None of them are randomized — they are fixed structures tied to specific biomes, and the loot difficulty scales almost exactly with how far you have to swim from the Lifepod. This roundup groups all of them by depth so you can plan a looting route instead of stumbling into a leviathan patrol lane by accident.

How to loot wrecks safely

The wrecks themselves are not dangerous. What surrounds them can be. A few habits keep every salvage run clean:

  1. Check oxygen math before you enter. A Rebreather buys real time inside flooded wreck interiors — do the depth-times-swim-back calculation before you commit to a tight corridor.
  2. Beacon every wreck the first time you find it. Wrecks do not move, so a beacon turns a one-time discovery into a repeatable stop on your route.
  3. Treat deep wrecks as a separate trip, not a detour. Do not tack a Root Canyon wreck onto a shallow-water run — the depth and threat gap is too large to improvise.
  4. Near Root Canyon, plan around Collector Leviathan lanes before you plan around loot. Two Collectors patrol the approach to that region, and they hunt the water column above you, not the floor. The full patrol breakdown and safe depth band are in the Collector Leviathan guide — read it before you go anywhere near Stairway to Heaven or Therapy Room.
  5. Cross-check the region on the map first. The interactive map and biome database show which region each wreck sits in, so you are not guessing at travel time.

Wrecks and POIs by depth band

Shallow (Shallows biome, near-spawn)

Wreck / POIBiomeNotes
LifepodShallowsYour spawn point — not a loot wreck, but the anchor every other location on this list is measured from
Welcome CenterShallowsEarly structure, one of the first POIs most players find
Colonist Bunker “Anita’s Garden”ShallowsNamed colonist bunker, close-range salvage stop
Cicada Wreck (Lander Garage)Lead Zone (Coral Gardens region, 34–65 m)Named wreck just past the shallow rim

If you have not read the Shallows biome guide yet, start there — it covers the wider layout these four POIs sit inside.

Mid-depth (Coral Gardens region)

Wreck / POIBiomeNotes
Tailings VillageGraveyard (0–266 m)Ruined settlement, the single densest salvage stop on this list
Tadpole PensGraveyardVehicle-fragment location gated by a keycode — see our resources guide for the keycode walkthrough
Shallows Wreck 5North RacewayNamed wreck, standard mid-depth salvage
Camp OnePlateaus (23–119 m)Named camp, low-risk stop
Old HabitatPlateausAlso the landmark used in the site’s resources guide Silver route — the cave north of the Lifepod is measured relative to this POI

Tailings Village and Tadpole Pens are worth prioritizing on a mid-depth run. Tailings Village has the highest salvage density of any wreck on this list, and Tadpole Pens gets searched constantly for its keycode route — pair a Tadpole Pens run with a check of the interactive map so you are not backtracking across Graveyard twice.

Deep (Root Canyon, Karakorum Ruins region, 364–750 m)

Wreck / POIBiomeNotes
Therapy RoomRoot CanyonNamed wreck, deep-tier salvage
Stairway to HeavenRoot CanyonNamed wreck, deep-tier, sits inside Collector Leviathan patrol territory

Both deep wrecks require the same preparation as any Root Canyon trip: a Depth Module on your equipment list and a plan for the Collector Leviathan lanes described in the Root Canyon biome guide. Do not free-swim toward Stairway to Heaven expecting a quick grab — the patrol above you does not forgive a careless ascent.

FAQ

Where is Tadpole Pens? Tadpole Pens sits in the Graveyard biome, in the Coral Gardens region. It is a keycode-gated vehicle-fragment location — see the resources guide for the current keycode route.

Is Old Habitat safe? Yes. Old Habitat is a Plateaus POI in the same shallow-to-mid depth band as Camp One, and it is also the landmark used for one of the site’s confirmed Silver routes in the resources guide. No leviathan patrol is tied to this location.

What’s the deepest wreck in Subnautica 2? Therapy Room and Stairway to Heaven, both in the Root Canyon biome (364–750 m). Stairway to Heaven is the riskier of the two because it sits closer to active Collector Leviathan patrol lanes — read the Collector Leviathan guide before attempting it.

Do wrecks respawn loot? This roundup only covers confirmed wreck and POI locations, not respawn behavior — check the patch notes for the latest loot-table changes before assuming a cleared wreck will refill.

For the full creature list guarding these routes, see the all leviathans list, and for a wider view of what each biome contains, the biome database and interactive map are the fastest way to plan a multi-wreck loop.
