Subnautica 2 Launch Map
32 points of interest plotted across 8 tracked biome labels - every marker tagged by source quality. Official footage, Steam facts, Reddit sightings and low-confidence predictions stay separated while current-build player data is verified.

Official: Subnautica 2 is now in Early Access on PC and Xbox. Steam still lists the app at app 1962700, with online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer support. EA 1.1 Adaptive Measures is now live; it changes movement, storage, Biomods, wreck exploration and creature behaviour, but it does not add new confirmed map boundaries or future biomes.
Community: Current search demand is strongest around the map, roadmap, next update and EA 1.1. Players are also asking whether future updates will affect current saves and whether creature-behaviour changes will alter route safety. Treat clips and comments as discovery leads, not confirmed wall coordinates.
Use the map with
Route planning pages that prevent bad dives
The map is the main surface. These supporting pages explain depth, patch impact and whether a reported edge should be treated as real.
First route after the Lifepod
Filter to confirmed markers, run the first Silver and Old Habitat line, then add community markers only after you can return safely.
OpenMatch biome depth to gear
Check shallow-to-deep biome order and danger levels before pushing a co-op group or fresh save into a new zone.
OpenRe-check route changes after hotfixes
Use patch notes when a progression blocker, base current, Xbox option or mod compatibility issue behaves differently from an older build.
OpenDrag to pan, scroll to zoom. Click any marker for full details, depth, threats, resources and the source we cited. Filter buttons above limit visible markers by credibility or type.
Video Evidence
Latest videos we used for the map
Day-one videos now answer different questions than the pre-launch trailers: how large the available map feels, which outer routes hit Early Access boundaries and whether useful resource routes can be repeated. We use these videos as evidence notes, not as final atlas coordinates.

Map data decision
We are keeping the broad Early Access Boundary Watch marker and improving route explanations, but we are not adding new exact POIs from single videos, Reddit comments or third-party map screenshots. Map-size comments, visible distant landmarks, interactive-map requests and boundary messages are useful player signals; they are not proof of final map dimensions, final biome count or stable route coordinates.

How To Use
Reading the launch-week map
1. Filter by trust
Start with Confirmed only if you want official footage and store-page facts. Add Community and predicted markers only when you are comfortable with unverified launch-week clues.
2. Click for source
Every marker popup cites its source - trailer timestamp, community thread, or pattern reasoning. If the source is not official, treat it as a waypoint to verify in your own save.
3. Run the starter route
New save? Head north from the Lifepod to the Old Habitat line for early Silver, then circle back before pushing to deeper predicted markers. Predicted pins shift to confirmed or archived as repeatable player reports stack up.
FAQ
Map questions, answered
How many points of interest are on the Subnautica 2 map?
The interactive map currently plots 32 points of interest: 7 confirmed from official footage or Steam, 11 community-sighted, and 14 predicted from earlier Subnautica patterns. Confirmed, community and predicted markers are filtered separately.
Are the Subnautica 2 map coordinates accurate?
Confirmed markers are tied to official footage or the Steam store. Community and predicted markers are starting points to verify in your own save, not exact coordinates - distant landmarks you can see are not always reachable in the current Early Access build.
Where should a new Subnautica 2 player start on the map?
Begin from the Lifepod, then run the early Silver and Old Habitat route to the north before pushing outward. Filter the map to Confirmed only first, drop a beacon on any repeatable resource pocket, and keep predicted markers off until you are comfortable exploring unverified clues.
Should I use the map or the coordinate atlas first?
Use the interactive map first when you are planning a route visually. Use the coordinate atlas when you already have a named POI, video clue or Reddit location and need to line it up with our map-grid values.
