Roadmap dates
Signal: Google Suggest, Reddit comments and media recaps keep asking whether EA 1.1 and EA 1.2 are weeks or months away.
Answer: Unknown Worlds has not published patch dates. The official wording points to plans over the next few months, but the useful answer is still sequence, not calendar: EA 1.1 first, EA 1.2 second, larger world expansion later.
Sprint and storage
Signal: Movement speed and inventory friction show up in Roadmap discussion because early exploration is slow and resource-heavy.
Answer: Sprint and Storage Cache are official EA 1.1 additions. Treat them as planned improvements, not live features until patch notes land.
Voice chat, trading and revive
Signal: Co-op players want to know whether four-player exploration will get better tools than external Discord and manual item drops.
Answer: Voice Chat, Player Trading and Player Revive are official EA 1.2 planned additions. Current co-op groups should still plan roles and shared storage manually.
Map size and future biomes
Signal: Searches include map size, map vs 1, map interactive and map so far. Reddit map comparison posts are active.
Answer: Future biomes are official roadmap direction, but current Early Access boundaries remain current-build boundaries. Do not read future expansion as today's playable map size.
Immortal fish / creature interaction
Signal: A high-discussion Reddit thread argues that non-lethal or limited creature interaction hurts immersion for some players.
Answer: This is a community concern, not an official feature promise. Track it as feedback, especially because EA 1.1 already mentions Blight Encounters and future updates mention new creatures.
Buying now vs waiting
Signal: Review videos and Reddit replies split between strong Early Access enthusiasm and players who want a finished story.
Answer: Play now for co-op exploration and launch-build discovery. Wait if you mainly want complete story chapters, mature balance, and the expanded world.
Save compatibility
Signal: May 18-19 Reddit questions are asking whether future Early Access updates will keep current saves usable.
Answer: Unknown Worlds has not promised that every Early Access save will survive every future update unchanged. Back up saves before major patches and expect some bases, routes or progression assumptions to need adjustment.
